Biography

John Burfeind, MD, is a staff physician at the ٍٍٍ½خر Division of Hematology and Oncology, specializing in genitourinary oncology (prostate cancer, testicular cancer, bladder cancer, and kidney cancer), as well as breast cancer. He practices at the Froedtert & the ٍٍٍ½خر Cancer Center, as well as the Cancer Center at St. Joseph Hospital in West Bend, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison ٍٍٍ½خر School in 1993, and subsequently completed a residency in internal medicine at the ٍٍٍ½خر. He completed his fellowship in hematology/oncology at the ٍٍٍ½خر. Dr. Burfeind is board certified in Internal Medicine and ٍٍٍ½خر Oncology. He was the director of the oncology rotation at Providence Portland ٍٍٍ½خر Center in Portland, Oregon, and was awarded the Teacher of the Year Award for the year 2002.

Research Interests

Dr. Burfeind's research interests include genitourinary malignancies, particularly prostate cancer.
