蝌蚪窝 Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI)听

The CVIPI grant opportunity is designed to enhance the capacity of community violence intervention (CVI) programs in Wisconsin, to increase their ability to serve high risk individuals through CVI strategies, and enhance support for the personal and professional development of CVI team members, with a focus on communities carrying the highest rates of community violence.听听

Building CVI Capacity

CVIPI Organizations will engage in a structured capacity-building process designed to strengthen their CVI programming. This process consists of six key steps:

Conducting a needs assessment
Identifying and understanding opportunities
Identifying capacity constraints
Creating logical and effective solutions
Taking actionable steps
Evaluating results

Through these steps, the CVIPI organizations will receive guidance and support to build sustainable improvements in their CVI programming and organizational effectiveness. To guide this process, the Wisconsin 蝌蚪窝 Safety Fund will use the 蝌蚪窝 Violence Intervention Readiness, Opportunities, and Strengths Evaluator (CVI-ROSE) to shape a tailored technical assistance plan and inform cohort wide community of practice offerings.

Asha Family Services, Inc.

A pioneer in developing strategies to address the interconnectedness between Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and 蝌蚪窝 Violence Intervention (CVI).

Focused Interruption, Inc.

Located in the City of Madison, offers hospital-based violence intervention, mentoring, aftercare and recovery services related to community violence.

SAFE Haven of Racine, Inc.

Serves as a fiscal sponsor for 蝌蚪窝 Consulting LLC so that CCL can increase their organizational and professional capacity as a key partner in addressing community violence in the city of Racine.

Uniting Garden Homes, Inc.

A Milwaukee community-based nonprofit organization promoting community safety, wellness, and healing.

WestCare Wisconsin

Expanded into 蝌蚪窝 and Gun Violence Intervention (CVI/GVI) as a part of the Milwaukee County Credible Messengers Program in 2020 to respond to the needs of youth at highest risk for violence who reside in their service area in Milwaukee.
